Candy is something I am slowly outgrowing a little bit. But I like Skittles and Starburst if I have to choose a candy to eat or snack with, It’s the candy I had the most as a kid, so I tend to gravitate towards that. I also like Airheads from time to time, not just because of the candy but rather the name which I find personally funny. So, I wouldn’t say I have an exact favorite candy, just a couple I like but no crazy obsession or such of any particular kind.

The first thing I do for fun is reading. I like reading various books and such, from the Diary of Wimpy Kid books to the Hunger Games. One of my other favorites is the Alex Carter series, books like Solitude of Wolverines and a Blizzard of Polar Bears. Although I do read, I don’t do it as much as I should as it’s often sporadic in terms of consistency. So, I should probably work to make it more of a daily basis as it’s really good for the brain.
The second thing I like doing for fun is video games, probably my most favorite hobby. I love playing single player story games such as Hollow Knight and Stray and I play on various platforms. It’s something that I learn to really appreciate, because as time goes on. Video games become more of a luxury rather than an accommodation to a lifestyle especially as an adult. It is a massive part of my childhood, so I definitely have a soft spot for it.
The third thing I like doing for fun is writing. Definitely would be my other hobby that truly defines me if not for video games. I just love how with writing, it’s immensely satisfying to take just a random topic or string of words and turn it into something extraordinary. Whether it’s fictional or non-fictional, it becomes and amazing form of art. Reading it to yourself doesn’t hold as much impact, but when others read it and are in awe, you realize you have written a definitive of something truly special.
The fourth thing I like doing for fun is researching typologies. My favorite typology is the MBTI which is a personality assessment. But MBTI is universally flawed because it stereotypes and generalizes behaviors too much and is too shallow to give a bigger understanding of how the mind works. It usually works on an introvert and extrovert scale but fails to consider middle grounds and such for the others, as people moods can affect results. Since tests usually go on a true and false spectrum or from 1 to 5 and what stops someone from feeling like something is true, to the next day thinking otherwise. This is what leads to mistyping and bias, I like researching the cognitive functions such as NI, Fi, Te as those is way more accurate but a lot grittier into the details. But it’s definitely leads to less biased results.
The fifth thing I like to do is chess. Chess is my favorite board game, and I love being able to control tons of pieces to be able to corner your opponent’s side and eventually find an opening for a checkmate. It can even be more complicated with the castling and en passant strategies and it helps a lot with anticipation and being able to see multiple outcomes and act accordingly. I also grew up playing chess a lot, although I don’t do it as much as used. I still enjoy as a every now and then pastime.

Daily writing promptWhat are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?
It’s the perfect example of something that sounds great in theory, but terrible in practice. Once one becomes around the age of 70. Life slows down and the body slows down exponentially and it just harder to enjoy life. By then, hopefully one has accomplished and done everything they wanted in life. I ultimately think that everyone wants to life long enough to fulfill their dreams and goals. I think the thought of the eternal life would not bode well for most people unless they could keep their youth. I’m assuming not, so in this case. No one wants to be insanely old and broken down and forced to continued living when enjoyment of life is near non-existent since one will most like be bed-ridden at this point and stage.

Daily writing promptDo you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?
Definitely the future for me, I tend to suffer from heavy action paralysis as well. When you think about how something will go before it happens, it can lead to the long-term effects of overthinking. Which leads to second-guessing and again hesitation upon pursuits. I do look back on the past occasionally for a dose of nostalgia laced in reminisce. But it’s not something I look back on or hold close to my heart. It’s also why I also think why I don’t care to make memories as much as the general person. Like being heavy into the endeavors of picture-taking, although I do know how valuable these things are. As they do signify long-term growth and things to look back on. The past is great, but I would rather focus on my actions now in the present to make a better future not just for myself, but hopefully worldwide as well.

Daily writing promptYou get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?
If I had a perfect space to read and write, honestly just a quiet dark room with a little bit of light. And a little bit of nature sounds would be amazing. Although I can concentrate and focus in noisy and louder environments, I definitely gravitate towards quieter spaces. I know people like putting candles and such for the ambience, but I am a simple person. Just a quiet dark space with a bit of lighting would suffice for me.

I would like to think I’m a good judge of character, but I wouldn’t say I am. Only for those I’ve known long enough treading at least 3 months or more. It’s easy to make assumptions about someone of their character, without knowing what they are going through or their upbringing and so forward. People have their reasons to do the things that they do, so to judge someone and base someone off of the one and only action tends to lead to inaccurate perceptions. End of the day, we all some bias to what defines someone’s character. And no one is the true judge of character, simply just because we don’t really know anyone to the bottom of their core. So, most of the time it’s usually a half-skewed reading of someone’s character. That deep down will never be fully true.

Honestly, I can’t really give a straight answer, I think technology is something us humans should learn to accept rather than fight against. With all of the new AI tools such as DeepSeek, ChatGPT and such coming more to light day by day. It’s inevitable that society is rapidly changing and whether it’s more the better or worse is truly debatable. As a whole now, society has access to so much information, there is truly nothing one can’t find an access or plethora of information on. While this sounds like evolution with no drawbacks, it is also painfully apparent, that critical thinking skills are on the decline. As humans, just grab answers and let’s such technology give them the answers for them. As someone who uses Reddit daily on a day-by-day basis. I am abhorred but the number of posts I see from the r/Teachers subreddit on teachers complaining on how kids use AI just to form single sentences to the point of deficiency. The eventual corrosion of the brain in terms of this only happens when one relies on AI for far too long without seeking any deeper explanation as to why, and this is becoming more and more of a trend as time goes on. To the point, where schools literally have to find ways to combat usage of AI, is not only destroying critical thinking skills but also attention spans. No to say AI is at fault, rather us humans are for not being able to use it properly and effectively. To say we are better off without technology would truly be out of touch with reality, since we are pivoting into a world where it is simply more prevalent than ever. And all we really need to do it just learn how to use AI more effectively, maybe limiting AI usage to the public of younger audiences and only giving that access to those who use it to enhance learning styles and not just letting the AI do the thinking and creating codependency. Overall, I could say I’m better off without technology such as phones, computers and basic things. As well as reading more and doing less technological activities and such but at the end of the day it’s just not a feasible reality as we all will use technology constantly and daily in our lives.

The great thing about having pets is that they symbolize camaraderie and companionship. And if they are taken care of correctly, they are lifelong buddies that give humans a profound and satisfying sense of connection. It’s always relieving for others as it helps a ton with mental health and also is very soothing for stress. Also, people who have pets, also tend to be way more active and more likely to follow up on routines and structures. It’s all in all, a very good thing to have pets, they bring many benefits assuming one is ready to take care and provide for them.

Being a kid at heart is simply being able to enjoy simple pleasures of life innocently regardless of circumstances. Furthermore, in context being able to laugh at yourself when mistakes are made. Finding joy and positivity in the little things and not treating everything like a stormy raincloud. Life is already too short to be uptight and whiny about everything. There are some things in life that one cannot control, so why stress about it. This is why it’s essential as we grow to partake in fun activities and endeavors as we grow. Less time on our hands, as we work and become busier. Sucking out any fun desire we used to have beforehand. Being a kid at heart or such helps keeps this intact. Helps with being able to find and have that balance. It’s not feasible for everyone, but at least we all should find that fun outlet or thinking to keep us sane. As we burn out, if otherwise.

Nothing is more memorable to me than the event of the Holocaust. To start, I was in seventh grade when I first learned about it and to this day about 8 years later. I still remember the lesson fully, every slide painting a picture of horror and depravity. Back then, my mind was unable to comprehend such atrocities. I was just terrified deep down because the behaviors seemed so primal and just dull of basic respect for life. What’s even crazier is that in all the turmoil upon the Holocaust, all was justified and seen as a worthy cause. These people genuinely thought they were making the world a better place by exterminating a specific race. It goes to show how dangerous humanity can be when left unchecked by corrupt ideals and forces. I could go along the lines and say things like American Revolution, Civil War, or something even recent like the 2020 Capitol Storming or recent Charlie Kirk assassination. While all tragic and very unfortunate travesties. Nothing really struck me as heavily as reading the Holocaust did. That has been ingrained in my brain for life essentially.
